He has been a professional astrologer since 1972. Life Time Astrology is a logarithmic time-based system that includes conception and gestation for interpreting horoscopes, originally derived from the philosophy of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky, Tibetan Buddhism and Sufi mysticism. Matrix’s Win Star Express software incorporates this system as Life Time Arcs.

He wrote twenty books (translated into as many languages), of which ten are about astrology or based on astrological ideas. He created astrological calendars throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, and his 1979 book The Round Art: The Astrology of Time and Space is considered a classic for its design, ideas and illustrations. His other books explore astrology and healing, calendar systems, astrological reincarnation, tarot and prophecy.

He has lectured and taught astrology in nineteen countries and teaches regularly at astrological organizations in the Europe and the US. For years he taught at the Unicorn School in Copenhagen, where he helped create its agenda of introducing astrologers to psychotherapeutic, meditative and guided imagery healing techniques in the context of Life Time Astrology.

He also teaches sacred & ecological architectural design and astrology-based feng shui using his book Sacred Architecture at Manchester Metropolitan University Architecture School (UK), the Danish Design School, the Netherlands Design Institute, the University of Cincinnati Architecture School and lectured at the California Institute of Integral Studies, in San Francisco.

He is currently writing Sacred Landscapes illustrated by the renowned photographer Lynn Davis. He also produced a documentary film featuring Ken Wilber and Traleg Rinpoche, Spirituality in the Modern World, for Universal Quest Corp. and did editing and translations for Kalachakra Tantra Teachings by His Holiness the Dalai Lama with Mystic Fire Video. He writes reports for tarot.com and designs websites. His personal website is: www.atmann.net
