She is President of the Uranian Society, a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the NCGA, and is Editor of The Urania Journal.  Liane also practices traditional astrology, and has lectured at NCGR Conferences in New York City, at the Uranian Society, the NCGR Boston Chapter, and at the Irish Astrological Association. She has written for The Ingress, the memberletter, and The Urania Journal, often on political topics. She was active in politics for many years while living in New Haven, Connecticut, in the 1960's and 1970's. For 16 years she has been the Executive Director of the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association of America, Inc., a non-profit association of dealers of old and rare books. She lives with her husband, Richard C. Wade, on Roosevelt Island, part of New York City.
